Medina County Detective Bureau

The Detective Bureau is responsible for the investigation of criminal activities throughout Medina County including homicides, sexual assaults, burglaries, forgery, and fraud. The bureau consists of extraordinary detectives who have advanced knowledge in investigating, collecting, and analyzing evidence, forensics and creating cases for successful prosecution.

Prescription Drug Turn In Program

The Medina County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with the Medina County Drug Abuse Commission and the Medina County Drug Task Force has provided the public with a prescription drug turn-in program. The disposal box is in the vestibule of the Medina County Sheriff’s Office entrance for unwanted and/or expired medications. Prior to disposal, please remove or black out the information on the prescription label. Ensure that all bottles or bags are securely closed. Place all items in a clear zip lock bag. Deposit into the collection box. DO NOT DEPOSIT ANY NEEDLES OR SHARPS. These items will not be collected.

This program has been funded by the Medina County Anti-Drug Levy.

Procedure For Bad Checks

If you have received a personal or business check that was returned by your financial institution due to insufficient funds or the account was closed and you wish to take legal action, click on the link below. Print the five pages and follow the procedures described on the first page. An incident report cannot be assigned, and an investigation cannot be started until the procedures are completed. The procedures described must be strictly followed.
